Spread the word
In case you didn’t know, this week is Business Continuity Awareness Week, which presents an ideal opportunity to raise awareness within your own organisation.
The list of things you could do to raise awareness is almost endless, limited only by your imagination, budget and the resources available to you.
The Business Continuity Institute’s website (www.thebci.org) contains some good ideas, along with some other potentially useful resources which can be downloaded or accessed online, and there are doubtless other good sources of information around too if you do a bit of digging.
Whatever you choose to do, whether it be intranet sites, presentations, management and staff briefings, exercises and tests, posters, promotional items or business continuity-related games or quizzes, do something.
Raising awareness of your business continuity programme and obtaining commitment is absolutely essential if it’s to succeed. So don’t miss this golden opportunity – if you haven’t already done so, use the remaining few days of Business Continuity Awareness Week to your advantage.
